University College’s free, open course, “Career 101: Four Steps to a Meaningful Career,” was recently selected as a finalist for the Technology Excellence Award from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
Career 101 is a unique, online course designed to help participants discover a career they can love. The four steps of this course include a variety of activities, assessments, and thought-provoking questions to guide participants to their vocation. The course allows users to progress at their own pace and time to help them clarify talents and skills, and apply them to their journey.

NACE’s Excellence Awards competition is national in scope and recognizes the outstanding achievements of college career services and HR professionals. NACE represents more than 1,800 four-year and two-year colleges and more than 900 employers who hire college graduates. The course was recognized at the NACE Annual Conference Great Ideas Showcase Awards Ceremony on June 10 in San Antonio, Texas, along with other finalists.
